How Adventure Vets grew bookings 30% without spending a dollar on ads
Adventure Vets is Dr Kristina Fisher and nurse Andrew Colquhoun's mobile vet, based in Longford and covering Launceston, the Tamar Valley and Tasmania's East Coast. For Vets designed and built its website from scratch in 2025 and has run its SEO since, with no Google Ads at all. This is how a long, thin service area grew bookings 30% on organic search alone.
- 30% more bookings across Tasmania's East Coast
- $0 spent on ads
- Every route from the Tamar to the coast has its own place on the site

Where they started
A mobile vet covering a long, thin stretch of Tasmania does not have a dense metro to advertise into. What it has is being genuinely local across a big area, if search can see that.
Kristina and Andrew came to us after seeing First Paw's site, with a website to replace and a van wrap still being designed.
What we built
- A website designed from the ground up. No template was used. The homepage concept came first, designed alongside the new van wrap, and every page was then built in Webflow.
- Real pages for real places. The service area page names every town on every route, so a pet parent in Bicheno or George Town knows which day the van comes.
- The team, shown properly. Photographs show Kristina and Andrew and pets treated at home, and the site says plainly that a vet and a nurse attend every visit.
- Content only a local could write. Blog posts cover local news and seasonal happenings around Launceston and the coast, the kind of content that tells Google this practice works these towns.
- A home euthanasia page written with Kristina. It was drafted together and edited line by line before it went live, as one gentle page with the cost and the process explained.
- The technical layer. Analytics count every visit once, 24 Tasmanian searches are tracked daily, and Google's own reports feed the monthly checks.
- Reviews kept current. New five-star reviews come across from the Google listing onto the site, now 31 reviews at 4.7 stars.
Why it works
Out here a pet parent is not choosing between clinics on a strip. They are deciding whether to let two strangers into the house, so the site shows exactly who is coming and what happens next.
Google rewards the same honesty. A site that names every town it serves and writes about them reads as genuinely local, which is what ranks across a big area.
What happened
Bookings are up 30% across the East Coast, all organic. Every one of those bookings arrived free of ad spend, from rankings that keep working month after month.
The other mobile vets in the region advertise only on Facebook, so on Google the field is largely Adventure Vets' to hold.
Today
The strongest kind of growth: the kind that does not stop when a budget does. The next pages are already drafted, and the same people who built the site keep it ranking.
