How Ramsgate Vet gets first-time enquiries for about $19 each

Ramsgate Vet is a GP clinic on Rocky Point Road in Ramsgate, in Sydney's southern suburbs, and the sister clinic of Vets On Crown. For Vets rebuilt its website in late 2025 and rebuilt its Google Ads in May 2026, with SEO, tracking and reporting alongside. This is how a clinic that was paying for one broad keyword now gets first-time enquiries for about $19 each. It also holds the top organic spot for every local search we track.

Highlights:
  • $19 per first-time enquiry since the May 2026 rebuild
  • 15 of 15 tracked local searches held at the top organic position through August
  • 13% of website visitors get in touch

Where they started

Ramsgate Vet had a WordPress site that shared most of its wording with its sister clinic. Its ads spent 95% of the budget on one broad "vets near me" keyword, matching searches from across Sydney.

Its strengths were real but unwritten: a vet who sits down, the price before treatment, and a nurse's call three days after every visit.

What we built

  • The website, rebuilt in Webflow. Every page was rewritten so the clinic has its own words, with service pages, four suburb pages, pet-health articles, community news and a booking form.
  • A clean handover from the old site. Thirty-seven redirects carried the old addresses to the new pages, and the leftover WordPress records were cleared from Google's index.
  • Google Ads rebuilt in May 2026. The campaign runs exact and phrase-match keywords for the suburbs the clinic serves, ads built on its price-first promise, and hundreds of blocked searches.
  • Every enquiry counted. Call tracking runs on a dedicated number in the ads and the Google listing, and phone taps, booking forms and contact forms are all recorded.
  • SEO on the health content. All twelve articles got proper titles and descriptions, and the health articles name their vet as author. The suburb pages are linked from the service pages, and 16 local searches are tracked daily.
  • Reviews on the site, kept current. Fresh five-star reviews come across from the Google listing every couple of months, including one about a knee surgery for anyone researching that operation.
  • A monthly scoreboard. Enquiries, what each one cost and where the clinic ranks are reported every month on one page.

Why it works

In the St George area a pet parent has a dozen clinics within ten minutes. What makes them pick one is knowing nothing will be sprung on them: a price before treatment, a vet who sits down, a follow-up call.

Those promises sit in the ads, on the landing page and in the reviews beneath, so the same message meets them three times.

What happened

Since the rebuild went live in late May, the ads have produced 136 first-time enquiries at about $19 each, well inside what clinics typically pay. Most of them were phone calls from people who had never called the clinic before.

The website turns 13% of its visitors into an enquiry. Through August the clinic held the top organic position for all 15 tracked local searches every day. Website enquiries in the first three and a half weeks of August passed the whole of July.

Suburb pages Google could barely find now appear nearly three times as often, and the clinic holds the top map spot for vaccination and desexing.

Today

Google's call counting was switched on in September, so the dashboard now sees the calls the ads were producing all along. Spring vaccination season has its own keywords and copy ready.
